Chicago Wedding Dance Floors
The checkered dance floor has been a wedding reception staple for generations — and Chicago couples love it as much as ever. The high-gloss black and white pattern creates a stunning stage for your first dance and reception, photographing beautifully under any venue lighting. From grand downtown Chicago hotel ballrooms in River North and the Loop to suburban banquet halls in Naperville, Schaumburg, and Orland Park, our checkered floors complement every wedding style from Art Deco glamour to classic elegance.
Quinceañera Dance Floors Chicago
A quinceañera deserves a dance floor as beautiful as the celebration itself. Our checkered dance floor rentals are incredibly popular for quinceañeras across Chicago's vibrant Latin communities — from Pilsen and Little Village to suburban communities in Aurora, Bolingbrook, and Addison. The timeless black and white design works with any quinceañera color palette, creating a stunning focal point for the waltz and party dances that guests will talk about for years.
Corporate Galas & Holiday Parties
Elevate your Chicago corporate event with a professional checkered dance floor that impresses clients and delights employees. The classic black and white design works perfectly for company holiday parties, product launches, award ceremonies, and charity fundraising galas at venues throughout the Loop, River North, Wacker Drive, Rosemont, and the surrounding suburbs. A checkered floor signals sophistication and attention to detail — exactly the message your brand deserves to send.
Birthday & Milestone Celebrations
Whether it's a Sweet 16, a milestone 40th, a 50th anniversary, or any birthday worth celebrating, a checkered dance floor rental transforms any Chicago venue into a proper party. The bold pattern creates an instant atmosphere — one that keeps guests on their feet and the energy high all night. Our floors have anchored countless celebrations at halls and event spaces across Chicago's north side, south side, and all suburbs.
Prom & School Events
A checkered dance floor is a prom night classic that never goes out of style. Chicago-area high schools and event organizers choose our dance floor rentals to transform gymnasiums, banquet halls, and event centers into stunning venues. The high-gloss finish photographs beautifully, making every prom photo and video look like it belongs in a magazine. We work with school event budgets and coordinate directly with venues across Cook, DuPage, Lake, and Will counties.
Charity Galas & Fundraisers
Chicago's charity community deserves a dance floor worthy of the cause. Our checkered dance floor rentals add a black-tie, formal ambiance to fundraising galas, non-profit events, and charity auctions across the city. The classic aesthetic commands attention and signals to donors that every detail has been thoughtfully planned — the kind of impression that opens wallets and builds lasting relationships with supporters.

Checkered Dance Floor Rental FAQ
How much does a checkered dance floor rental cost in Chicago?
+
Pricing depends on the floor size, event date, and delivery location. We provide transparent, all-inclusive quotes that cover delivery, professional installation, and breakdown — no hidden fees. Contact us for a free personalized quote for your specific event.
What sizes are available for checkered dance floor rental near me?
+
We offer multiple sizes: 12×12 ft (up to 30 guests), 15×15 ft (up to 50 guests), 18×18 ft (up to 80 guests), and 21×21 ft (100+ guests). We also build custom rectangular and non-square configurations to fit unique venue layouts. Our team will recommend the right size based on your guest count and venue dimensions.
What finish do your checkered dance floor panels have?
+
Our checkered dance floors feature a high-gloss, mirror-like lacquered finish — not a flat matte. This premium finish reflects light beautifully, adds visual depth, and photographs significantly better than standard flat-finish checkered floors. The gloss surface also wipes clean easily between dances.
Can a checkered dance floor be installed over carpet?
+
Yes! We can install our checkered dance floor panels over carpet using a stabilizing underlayment system. This is common for hotel ballrooms and carpeted banquet halls across Chicago. Our crew assesses the surface during delivery and uses the appropriate installation method for your venue.
Can the checkered dance floor be used outdoors in Chicago?
+
Yes — our portable checkered dance floors can be installed outdoors on flat, level surfaces including concrete, asphalt, and wooden decking. For outdoor Chicago events, we strongly recommend a tent or covered pavilion to protect the floor from weather. We'll discuss your outdoor setup during the booking process.
How long does installation take?
+
Setup typically takes 1.5–2 hours depending on floor size and venue conditions. We coordinate directly with your venue to schedule arrival during your load-in window, ensuring the dance floor is ready well before guests arrive.
How far in advance should I book a checkered dance floor rental in Chicago?
+
We recommend booking 3–4 weeks in advance for standard events. For peak wedding season (May–October) and major holidays (New Year's Eve, Christmas, Valentine's Day), we suggest booking 2–3 months ahead. Popular Saturday dates fill up quickly, so earlier is always better.
Do you deliver to the suburbs outside Chicago?
+
Absolutely. We deliver checkered dance floor rentals throughout the entire Chicagoland area — Naperville, Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, Oak Brook, Aurora, Joliet, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Bolingbrook, and all communities within 50 miles. Delivery fees may vary by distance — contact us for specifics.

What should I provide for a quote?
Request a quote for your event rather than relying on a generic rental price.
Send your event date, venue address, preferred rental and dimensions, setup access and pickup window. Ask the team to confirm availability and the full scope of your rental.
Delivery is available for an additional charge. Confirm delivery, setup, and pickup arrangements in your quote.
Request a rental quoteWhat is included, and what does the venue need?
Confirm the selected rental, customization, delivery, installation and breakdown in your written quote. Share the venue’s access rules and available setup time. Ask about the required footprint, surface, power where applicable, and any outdoor restrictions before committing to a layout.
Checkered or LED?
Checkered flooring emphasizes a contrasting black-and-white pattern; LED flooring emphasizes light and color. Use the service galleries to compare the visual effect rather than assuming the two floors share installation requirements.
