Balloon Garland Rental in South Barrington: A Red Rose Entrance Guests Saw From the Road

Chicago Flower Wall built this balloon garland rental in South Barrington as a full wrap-around entrance: all-red balloons climbing both sides of a brick doorway and across its top, with dark red roses woven through the balloons from base to crown. The November 17, 2024 photograph was taken at dusk from the end of a red carpet, and the caption's claim — that the entrance view from the road was show-stopping — is exactly what the frame shows.

    One Color, Worked Hard

A single-color garland lives or dies on variation, and this one gets its variation from size. The balloons run from small clustered rounds filling the gaps up to oversized orbs at the corners and crown, so the surface reads as sculpted rather than inflated. Mixed into that red field, at intervals the whole way around, are roses in a deeper shade — dark enough to register as texture at a distance and as flowers up close. The caption says the roses were added to make the display more luxurious; in the photograph they do a second job, breaking the shine of the latex so the arch photographs as one rich material instead of a wall of highlights.

The building helps. Warm brick, stone arches at the sides, and a steep shingled gable give the garland a formal frame, and the red uplights washing the brick beside the doors pull the color scheme onto the architecture itself. By the time a guest reaches the carpet, the entrance is not decorated so much as re-lit in red.

The Carpet Is Part of the Build

Below the garland, a red carpet runs from the stone patio through the open double doors, lined with black stanchions and rope. Two guests in black dresses are caught mid-arrival, and through the doorway behind them a red floral wall glows inside — the entrance garland is the first act of a room dressed in the same palette. That layering is the difference between an arch and an arrival: balloons outside, a flower wall rental inside, one color story from the road to the room.

Entrances like this sit inside the company's wider backdrop rentals in Chicago and the suburbs — the garland is sized to the doorway it wraps, built on site, and styled to whatever waits on the other side of the doors. South Barrington hosts and planners use the same treatment for galas and private parties where the first photograph guests take is the one at the door.

Planning a Garland That Wraps, Not Just Hangs

The practical lesson in this frame is coverage: the garland touches the ground on both sides, follows the brick around the opening, and leaves no header gap at the top. A partial swag would have read as decoration; the full wrap reads as architecture.
